What has been your best experience/moment that you remember as being very good?

I honestly cant pin point one single moment. I would say its a collection of moments that have collectively made my journey in surfing so special. From learning to surf and the feeling of standing up for the first time, or doing my first 'real turn' , to travelling to beautiful surfing destinations, training and working hard to prepare for contests and then achieving the result I dreamed about or even just having a really good surf with family and friends. I have been so blessed with so many experiences through surfing, from shooting international campaigns/commercials, being able to endorse the most amazing brands such as Urban Beach ;) and also having the privilege of being part of the surfing journey of so many others through surf coaching. I know the crazy personal journey I have had to be able to be where I am, so to look back and see how everything has worked out is so special to me. These moments for me are so memorable...

Favourite conditions?

Hmmm...I wouldn't say I am a big wave enthusiast at all but give me 4-5ft Fun waves in the sunshine, with family, friends and maybe even some dolphin unicorns and I am one happy camper :) Too much to ask for?

Favourite toys?

Every time I surf a new board I always think 'Oh my gosh, this is my favourite board ever' haha. I have just received a new batch of boards from my shaper, ranging from a 5'5 to 5'8 and I am in love with all of them!

What is your diet like?

My schedule is so crazy and I am usually on the road or rushing around between work, surfing and training that I have had to adapt to make sure I eat enough. :) I love to incorporate lots of fresh fruit and veggies into my diet , as well as fresh fish which I eat so much of when I am in the Canaries. If you didn't already know I am a bit of a pizza fan too :) I make sure I eat a balanced diet, and have always got energy bars or some kind of snack with me to save me from 'hanger', but basically when I am hungry I eat. My food...my friends food...watch out!

What things do you currently do in your training that are key to your success?

The best thing to get better at surfing is of course to surf as much as possible but cross training definitely plays such a huge role in performance, both mentally and physically. I love cycling, swimming and mixing in some other surf related training. Oh and stretching...lots and lots of stretching! I get bored of the same training routine, so I try to mix things up to keep me motivated and am always keen to try new and exciting ways of training.

Best advice anyone’s ever given you?

Wow...tough one. Probably everything mom my mom tells me! haha. Chase your dreams with all your heart. Impossible is nothing, nothing is impossible. To be different and unique. To work hard, stay humble and always give back.

Do you have a saying or motto you live life by?

Not anything in particular, I draw inspiration from so many things I see or read on a daily basis but 'You are the master of your own destiny and creator of your own happiness' is something I remind myself of on a daily basis.

What is your biggest challenge, and how do you manage it?

My biggest challenge...hmmm..too many dreams, goals, ideas and not enough hours in one day! haha. There is so much I still want to achieve, within the surfing industry, my business and as an athlete. I also have an incredible desire to give back and help those who have not have the same opportunities as I have had or have been able to work towards. Whether due to illness, a disability or just having lacked the same support and love that I have had from my mom and family to follow my dreams. I have so many projects I am working on to make helping others a reality and I really feel I need more time to make everything happen.

What would be your ultimate achievement?

Honestly...to be able to achieve my own goals in surfing, business and being able to make a positive impact on the lives of others would make me one very happy lady!

Anything else you would like to share?

I would like to say a huge thank you to Urban Beach for supporting my goals and dreams, while bringing so many of them to life. I am truly blessed to be a part of such an incredible brand and am looking forward to many amazing and adventurous years together! Also, no matter how big or small your dream is...even if no one else believes in it, go after it and don't stop until you have achieved it. Don't be too proud to ask for help along the way...
